About Alejandra Paredes

My name is Alejandra and I'm a self taught artist from Perú. I am an architecture graduate who fell in love with arts through my fascination for architecture and design while completing my college studies. Ever since, I've been creating traditional art inspired in nature and people, with a main focus on watercolor pieces.  Finding an audience for my work in a latin-american country can be very difficult, as it is not a context where art is recognized or valued, and mostly, it can only be enjoyed by a privileged sector of society.  I aspire to join this art community, where our main focus is our love for art and sustainable creations, and which I believe can lift up small artists like me to fulfill their dreams and keep on creating; all  while making art more accessible to our society no matter where we're from, what we look for, and who we are.
