I now have four of his paintings the first being “Tall ships on thenThames” - this brought memories back as my late husband and I had a boat there very much like the one he has painted in the background which was moored in St. Katherine’s dock. When I bought this I also had to have “The calm before the storm”. Again, when I saw “Snowdrops in the backyard” it was, as it were, love at first sight. And then “The balance of power” came along. All in all I am delighted to have these very different but so good pictures on my walls.

This is such a lovely picture and one that is looked at each day. I cannot comment on just one area say the sky, and praise the artist for his skill as the whole picture demands your attention to acknowledge that yes it is the calm before the storm. Thank you Alan Harris.

I'm thrilled with my new artwork. It was packaged with great care not to damage in transport. Alan has captured these mighty men of valor on canvas. I instantly felt a sense of dignity and strength. This is such a beautiful painting! I love the deep dark tones and the glimmers of lights which makes me think of the silence of the night. I love it!

First time ever buying a piece of art. I absolutely love it. It captures London for me perfectly - leaving work on a cold, wet winter evening and rushing to the nearest tube station to get home.
