About Ákos Nagy
Biography
I am Ákos Nagy. I live and work in Budapest, Hungary. In my photography I try to show the relationship between people and their environment, in an abstract or impressionist style, in a distinguishable way. I would also like to show people's emotions of any kind, even their most hidden fears.
I believe a photograph is not merely a moment taken, it is the emotional process that drags from its viewer. Besides this, I think that the birth of a photograph happens in the camera, and when the action of printing makes it a touchable object, it means its re-birth, its renaissance.
For me the combination of these two things: creating objects of visuality that have an emotional effect, this is the ultimate goal of photography.
