About Aileen M Stackhouse

  • Biography

I live in Scotland and studied sculpture at Duncan of Jordanstone Art College in Dundee. My unique miniature bronze sculptures are created to be held in the hands. The bronzes are small enough to be held and yet are curiously heavy in relation to their size, this adds to their emotional impact. Each commissioned piece reflects my conversation with the client about their world, what is important to them, how they feel, the people they love, their family, their life. My miniature landscapes focus attention on human’s relationship with the environment. My paintings explore perception of changing processes in the world.

My artwork is of a consistently high standard and demonstrates my disciplined commitment to thoughtful, sensitive and intuitive creativity.

I have exhibited in the Scotland, Germany  and Portugal. I have received financial awards and funding from; the Hope Scott Trust, Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial Trust, The Royal Scottish Academy, Creative Scotland, Perth and Kinross Council and Women’s Enterprise Scotland to support my work.

Contact me by phone or email to discuss how I will create an exclusive artwork for you to keep in your home or as a treasured gift to someone you love.
