About Adam Regan

  • Biography
My work is primarily driven by my love of the sea and the coast and the restorative process of living nearby. From this stems a love of nature and landscape, focused more along classical lines of composition and construction. Secondary themes come from movement and vibration and these are reflected in my experimental work, some of which relies on multiple exposure under strobe lights and intensive post production. This work is mostly, though not exclusively figurative.

All my prints are made by The Print Space in London, a high end fine art printing company who work with established and reputable artists from all over the world. Gicleé and pigment prints are made with Epson fine art inks on 308 gsm Hahnemühle Photorag. C-types are printed on 231 gsm Fuji Crystal archive paper. The majority of my prints come with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, but if you would rather I signed, dated and numbered the print outside the image area, I'm happy to do so, just ask.

Biography: Adam Regan began his career as a photographers assistant, but was lured into the advertising world with the promise of being able to afford to eat. He then spent over 25 years working as an art director and creative director for advertising agencies around the globe.

Throughout this period Adam worked with some of the best photographers in the world, testing their patience with incessant questions and continually invading their personal space, so he could get a close look at how they worked. In 2008 he began shooting for himself. His work was swiftly awarded and recognised by various festivals including IPA, PX3, The Photography Masters and PDN. He’s more recently been awarded by Communication Arts, American Photographic Artists, National Geographic Travel and Architectural Masterprize.

    Exhibitions:
Group Show Ceres Gallery NYC (2008)
LensModern group show, Galerie D'Art Contemporain, Luxembourg City (2014)
