Original artwork description:
An Ibis holding an ear of corn in its curved beak. This is how an anonymous 1st-century artist painted it in fresco, and so it remained for 1,700 years in the Temple of Isis in Pompeii, buried in the ashes of Vesuvius. Today, it is preserved in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. I wanted to reproduce it by inserting it in an imaginary landscape.
