This is the story told to a child about a part of a disappeared world- the Smooth Handfish is the first extinct fish in the modern era, the photography of the grandparents like an artifact, the dying corals, the dodo bird, the fishing, the duck fibula as a symbol of noblesse and antiquity, the jellyfish-like a protector, but as illusions also.
