This painting is a very wintry scene without giving you a chill feeling. I have used warm colours in the autumn leaves still clinging to one of the trees and also in the sky, which is reflected in the snow. This is often the way with winter: there is more colour around us than we realise, which makes a winter scene beautiful.
Painted on a birch wood panel with unpainted edges, this piece can be hung as it is or put into a frame
