Original artwork description:

Winter 2 emanates the peaceful stillness of the 2nd month of winter - a time for gathering energy through contemplation, working through ideas, and approaching things thoughtfully.
The detail shows the metallic silver which underlays the deep blues and purples of the image, reflecting shifting lighting. Metallic paint is difficult to capture photographically - this and all the other metallic passages in my paintings are luminous. My chop initials mark the front. Sides are painted, one signed with my signature, M Hornbuckle©2014, and of course, the back too. Please note that there is not a mat as shown in the in context image. The painting has a painted (dark) 2" in cradle, and is ready to hang.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, mediums, pastes and gels
