Artwork description:

This image is from my “wall cuts” project, panels in the New York City subway where print advertising is displayed. The tearing of paper by “subway artists” to create layered effects, in conjunction with its decomposition, yield images resembling finished, intentional works of art. These panels are remarkable for their intrinsic beauty and variety, and the role that chance and organic processes play in their formation.

This panel featured remnants of ads from the movie "Black Panther," other posters and layers of dark paint offset by a sand-colored cement wall.

Printed by the artist on Canson Infinity Edition Etching fine art paper with a half inch border.

• Editions:

30x24 | Edition of 10 | $1,750
45x36 | Edition of 5 | $2,500

Open edition is 15" W x 12" H, $500 which includes shipping
