Painted from life, from flowers gathered and arranged by the artist. Features a row of three sunflower heads, each in a different color, surrounded by celosia, mums, zinnias, and a marigold. The flowers are accented by a background of bright reds and greens. The shapes of the flower petals are enhanced by paint thickly applied with palette knife. Painted in oil on 1.5" thick stretched canvas, the painting continues onto the sides for a "gallery wrap" look that requires no frame and is ready to hang. A piece that exudes warmth, sweetness, and charm!
