Inspired by topographical maps of coastal erosion, this piece explores the evolution of the seabed in the everchanging underwater landscape. According to The Guardian, if the world continues to emit carbon at its current rate, sea levels will rise by an estimated 80cm, which will have devastating impacts on the sea's ecosystems and wildlife, coastal settlements, and those whose lives are intertwined with the sea.
The two underwater hillsides almost meet in the middle, making a kiss-like form, which is complemented by the soft tones used in the piece.
