This work was derived from a family photograph taken by my father of me and my sister at the zoo. The reflections in the glass of the enclosure revealed him and my mother behind the camera. We are looking into the animal enclosure; what you are seeing is our parents.
For me the image is about trapped intelligent life, and children trying to fathom the circumstances that shaped their childhood.
This work was displayed at the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) Drawn exhibition, and the Clifton Arts Club Open in 2015.
