"Tarn with Red Rocks" is a fantasy mountain landscape which is a compilation of many trips into the mountains and many spectacular views. A large fir hugs the right side of the foreground, with a huge snowy peak filling the background. In between are colorful red boulders reflecting in a pool and a steep drop off below. The intense colors and energized brushwork express the energy and wild spirit I find in the backcountry.
