Original artwork description:
It was a very good year this year for wild poppies, one of my favourite wild flowers. I could not resist trying to capture their delicate beauty as they grow so naturally along the edges of fields.
This is also a change in my palette, opening up a new range of colurs away from the more usual blues of my seascapes and harbour scenes. I hope to paint more fields!
