Original artwork description:

This oil painting of a bowl of fruit was inspired by a trip to Paris in winter. I have imagined a bowl of fruit in front of a café window, the light casts a shadow on the table. This still life is not quite what it seems as the oversized apples take on a primitive presence in the bowl and question our view of reality. The warm colours of the fruit bowl, red and yellow contrast with the cool blue and white of the surroundings.

This painting is painted in oils on canvas on a stretcher and is ready to hang.
