SERRANA means a woman of the Sierra, the mountainous regions of Mexico. This is a portrait of my friend Ericka Márquez, a model and dancer from Mexico City. She named the piece for me.
I like to work geometric shapes into my linocuts for a very graphic look. The poncho pattern is a nod to that worn by Clint Eastwood in the Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone.
Limited edition of 20 in each colour (Black and Chocolate). Signed, with a certificate of authenticity. Printed on beautiful, textured Somerset Velvet 250gsm cotton paper.
15% of sales are paid to Ms Márquez.
