Original artwork description:

"Oh, this view reminds me of Claude Monet s famous Antibes in the Morning", I thought when I first saw this place. But no, this is not Antibes, this is Dulcigno (Ulcinj), a city on the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. The old fortress rises on a hill above the sea, delighting the audience with a beautiful silhouette and with its powerful walls and stone houses at the top. Trees on the shore, like the guards at the gate, complete the romantic image. Using lilac colors, I wanted to express the special poetic atmosphere of the ancient city with its history and legends.

Materials used:

Oil on Canvas Board
