This small piece is of the serene country fields around the South Australian-Victorian border near Naracoorte. Fields of golden canola spread out under the increasing twilight. The painting is a simple study of distance and perspective. In the minutes before sunset, unusual colours glow in the sky, pinks, purples and oranges disrupting the typical darkening blue.
