Varies of Herons breed in Africa, Europe and Asia. Some from western populations migrate to African and south Asian countries when breeding and wintering.
This one is captured by a Sri Lankan naturalist Jagath Gunawardena from a lake which bloomed waterlilies.
I wanted to paint this one with more details and vibrant colors.
