Original artwork description:

It is heartening that there are creative people about like Richard whose beachcombing efforts don't only help to remove unwanted debris from our shores but at the same time create some unsual and worthwhile art. Art that makes us think about what we are doing to our precious planet. This is one such piece, very aptly named. We use so much plastic that it has found its way into all our bodies. And it can only get worse as more and more fish swallow contact lenses and other small bits of plastic that we end up eating. Originally thought to be a fantastic and versatile product plastic is now the scourge of the land; a danger to ourselves and Mother Earth. Richard's artwork is created with worked man made plastics and fibreglass and plays its part in making us reconsider how we should live in the 21st century. Stop using those detergents, put your jeans in the freezer and start caring for this world we are all so lucky to live in. Oh yes, and put Ricard's artwork on the wall, safe in the knowledge that its contents are not floating on the water.
