A settlement was located in this place many centuries ago. And the stone, towering on a small hill, is the base of the ancient structure.
This location was shown to me by my friend, an art historian. A beautiful place, dazzling sun and history gave birth to this picture.

The painting was painted from nature.
Location: Leningrad Region (100 km from St. Petersburg, Russia), summer 2020.
