Original artwork description:

"This painting is a part of my "Candor of Youth" series, where my objective is to capture the beauty and vulnerability of youth. The faces depicted are sometimes iconic figures, but mostly not anyone in particular; they all share the same youthful and pompous attitude. Here, I am also using more expressive brushwork, nonconventional color, and textured backgrounds using cold wax. The title of the series, "Candor of Youth," is borrowed from the Dalida song "Il Venait d'avoir 18 ans"."
