In this work of art my objective was to achieve harmony by combining two light sources incident from two opposite directions. I also wanted to display a wide variety of colors in both the animal and the background. By lighting the tiger from below I wanted to give the painting an aura of drama and mystery.
The loose and spontaneous brushstrokes that I use, especially in the background, aim to give freshness and dynamism to the painting.
Painted on 300 grs. Canson paper.
