In “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” I invite the viewer into an intimate nocturne, a 36x48 inch oil canvas that whispers of the ethereal and the earthly entwined. This work is an homage not to the play by name, but to the spirit of a mystical garden at the height of summer’s magic. Here, the veils between worlds grow thin, and a sprite-like figure emerges, part of the tree, part of the dream, a guardian of the natural and the mystical.

The painting bathes in the paradox of light and shadow, where the tangible forms of the garden - the foliage, the wood, the soil - meet the intangible glow of fairy light. The elfin being is at one with the arbor, gazing with knowing eyes that reflect the ancient wisdom of the forest and the playful mischief of fairy tales.

Each brushstroke is a tribute to the unseen, the felt, the believed.
