Original artwork description:

During a 10-day exhibition in June 2022, I started with this oil painting. Several months before I made this mini ballpoint drawing, that kept popping up everywhere; in the living room, in my bag, amongst my daughters' toys... 1 of my daughters also drew her own version of it. Finally I understood: this sketch needed to be worked out.
It's a super detailed painting, where I really had to practice my patience. If I try to speed up the progress it won't develop to my liking. It works best if I approach this process as a meditation, when I don't pressurize, carefully observing what is happening, and gently adjust where necessary. And above all: don't think about the end result, or when it will be finished.
