Original artwork description:

One of my series of chain paintings in all shapes and sizes.
This piece in a landscape format shows a short length of chain as it falls over the side of the harbour wall somewhere on the West Wales coastline. The heavy weight chains are discoloured with rust and years of wear. Shiny in some places and rough in others. The hook end of the chain is thread onto a loop set into the stone wall, waiting to be 'let go'.
This piece is painted in a realistic style in artist quality oil paints
on a primed canvas support.
Simply framed in mid grey wood surround.

Materials used:

artist quality oil paint on primed cotton canvas
