This visionary art piece was painted using a mixture of gouache, watercolour and coloured pencil. Initially created for use as the 'King of Wands' card in a tarot deck this striking portrait depicts a powerful masculine force within a deceptively soft featured face. The figure is in command of the element of fire and also wields power over two subservient male lions. In this way he is suggestive of Leo astrological energy.
