Often times, at the end of a long session of painting and building objects I have some pent up energy that needs to be released. In this case, I had a nice surface at the foot of the easel and without any notion or picture or inspiration I just started to push some color onto the surface and this face emerged. Was it my past or future self? Does this person exist somewhere? Some other dimension? Not sure about that, but it does exist as a painting and I was ignited by that energy I was able to release into it. This is unframed, Oil painting on panel. Light to ship, easy to frame.
