Dawn is personified by Eos, a Greek Goddess, she of the "rosy-fingers" ...
I have depicted her under a large tree, lighting up its still blue leaves with her treasured luminescence and bringing spots of vivid colour to banish the night's remaining shadows.
Finely painted in Winsor & Newton watercolour and permanent Derwent Inktense pencil on heavy 320 gsm Indian handmade cotton paper which is a lovely acid free paper, with an attractive deckle edge.
The flashes of colour within the tree are in chalk pastel.
My artworks are very much affected by my surroundings and in late December and through January and February 2020, I find myself painting a series of tree images on this lovely paper.
Available unframed.
Packed carefully, in acid-free tissue.
Sent with a Certificate of Authenticity and by Tracked Delivery
