"Bisecting Blue" is expressive and structured at the same time. A background grid of fine pencil lines lays the groundwork for the spontaneous deep yellow brush strokes. The half circles of hand-painted paper form another structured layer that's over-marked with free-form linear circles that soften the hard edges and add a sense of movement and rhythm to the painting. Acrylic mixed media on paper.
