Original artwork description:

Painted on-site in the artist's neighborhood in Minneapolis. Features a maple tree with leaves in shades of bright red and orange-red with deep red shadows and pink highlights. The tree stands between a sidewalk and road, as it is encountered while one is taking a stroll. It has a halo of gold and green leaves from trees behind it. Fallen leaves strewn on the ground, and flowers from a nearby garden complete the scene.
Painted in oil over casein paint on board. The softer, matte texture of casein paint can be seen in the sky, and contrasts with the thicker oil paint.
The shapes of the foliage have been enhanced by oil paint thickly applied with palette knife.
Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. 23.5" wide by 1" deep framed. May be purchased unframed by request.
