This painting is inspired on a location in the Posbank near Rheden and is one of the most beautiful pieces of nature in the Netherlands. The landscape here is hilly, up to 90 meters high. And you see heaths and pines everywhere. Although it is also beautiful in the other seasons. Especially in spring and summer.
Jennie painted this new impressionistic style with thick oil paint. She started to develop this new style in 2022 and this is the first of a series.
With a height of 80x80cm, this is a painting on which the artist has been working intermittently for several months. The work is both moving because of its color and robust because of its structure. The overall impression is inspiring and transformative. It is an open work with countless strands of waxy and bright colors and brushwork reminiscent of paintings by Monet and Cezanne.
