Original artwork description:

Above & Below is a one off print collage created from combining sections/fragments of my large intaglio and monoprints in a totally unique geometric composition. The artwork measure 15 x 15cm mounted on 28 x 28cm rosaspina 285gsm fine art paper.

My geometric collage series came out of playing with offcuts of prints in my sketchbooks which I used to plan larger prints but over time they became artworks in their own right and I wanted to share them. Although small in size each piece packs a visual punch and draws the eye with unique colour palettes and subtle surface textures.

I strive to find balance within each handmade piece and spend a long time working out which pieces go together before finalising a design. Once complete the finished collage is bonded to heavyweight art paper for support.

Above & Below combines vibrant blues with golden yellow and hot magenta, and calming grey tones, with a vertical emphasis which comes from brush marks created on the original monoprinted block.

It comes mounted in a high quality white mount and back board ready to frame in a standard 12 x 12 inch (30.5x30.5cm) frame.

The collage is initialled on the front and signed in full on the reverse.

The print is wrapped in a cellophane sleeve and mailed in a reinforced card mailer to ensure it arrives safely.
