Artwork description:

The scene I found waiting for me in an abandoned farmhouse kitchen, deep in the Luxembourg countryside. I really like this shot because it has similar subject, light and mood of a Vermeer painting.

Thrilled to announce this image won 2nd place in the 2014 NVAL international juried photography show, based in California.
The juror, Crista Dix said ""This photograph brings together the ideas of painting and photography. Filled with magic light, the still life quality of the composition, and the simple beauty of the interior all combines to create an image that connects me to the past, yet fills me with a sense of the people who inhabit this place."
