In 2019 I had been coming to terms with an artist hiatus where I had not been painting or drawing for what amounted to a year. Lufe had ceaselessly got in the way and I felt like half of myself was lost or buried under the necessities to earn a living, pay rent, buy food, max out the rest on piling bills. Most of my artworks had been lost. i felt like a maroons pirate who has lost every buried treasure map so when i finally picked up the courage to pick up a pencil i realised i had been blaming everything on external factors like i have no time, i am working three jobs, i am tired. this self programming had been damaging so in creating this painting i decided to beat the programming and instead express what i could not write down or articulate into words.I had to tear down my walls to see what is left. I cannot advance spiritually if I am not being my authentic self which is a girl with messy hair, sat on a messy floor, with messy clothes all for creating a meaningful and decisive mess that I may be able to call art. That day I began anew with this acrylic painting on canvas cloth "Tyred".
