Original artwork description:

In my artwork, I use oil colours to capture the majestic presence of the king of the savana. The figurative depiction of the lion combines power and elegance as the sun illuminates its golden coat. The gesturally painted background and the moving rough brushstrokes that define the shapes of the big cat of prey reflect its untamed energy.
The painting board has a rectangular shape (10 x 13 cm), but is not geometric but cut by hand. It is presented on a 30x40 cm ochre/orange coloured cardboard. The work is for sale without a frame.
